Caraga,Agusan del Norte,Mindanao
Tubay Beach Resort. Location: Municipality of Tubay A Shangri-la in Caraga Region due to its beautiful location. A
complete hide-away for lovers, tourists, and relaxing businessmen. It
is hidden in a cove where mountains and sea literary meet covered with
lush flora and fauna. Exotic birds and deers frequented the enchanting
place. Tourists and excursionists could easily conquer the haven
by riding a pumpboat for 10 minutes or by challenging the illusive
trail through trekking for about 15 to 20 minutes depending on one’s
agility.
 Balanghai Shrine.
Located 5 kms. away from the city proper. A graveyard of the first
native boat in Southeast Asia called "Balanghai", or small Badjao boat
to be about1,200years old, thus giving testimony to Butuan as one of

Cagwait Beach it is a U-shaped beach with powdery white sand and a
wind swept sea with crystal clear water baptized by the famous pilot Charles
Lindberg as the “Waikiki Beach” of the Philippines. This is the site of the
annual “Kaliguan Festival”. It is a 40-minute ride from the capital town of Tandag. Cagwait Beach
Magkawas Falls located in the Municipality of Lanuza. A five-minute hike from the national highway this is an
ecotourism-destination of unimaginable beauty. These
wonderful falls makes it irresistible to take a refreshing dip.

Malinawa Cool Springs is located in the municipality of Cantilan. A very cool
spring surrounded by beautifully arranged big flat white rocks around the pool
equipped with shower rooms, cottages and a mini convention center. The spring is
constantly flowing 90 liters of fresh
water per second. It is a 5 minute ride from the national highway.
Pansukian Located just 20 minutes by banca south ofGeneral Luna, this reef offers an open right hand break that needs a swell of 2
meters or more to work. When the waves are big, they have a huge inside barrel
section. However, one has to keep a watch out for strong currents.Pansukian beach
Agusan Marsh-The largest marshland in the Philippines
holding up to 15% of the country’s freshwater. This mystical wetland is the home of indigenous Manobo people who
live in clusters of wood and bamboo houses built on rafts of floating logs. For
bird watchers, the marsh is “a must
visit” destination. Purple herons, storks, sea eagles, wild ducks and other migratory wetland birds from the Southeast Asia Region will be seen during the months of November to January.
Exotic flora and fauna and other endangered species like the dinata, a
soft-shelled giant turtle, and sailfinlizards also exist in this wildlife
sanctuary  Timoga Cold Springs is the one more frequented by the locals. Timoga is
known for its icy cold and crystal clear spring waters – contrast to
Laguna’s hot springs – freely flowing downstream to several swimming
pools for the enjoyment of many. It is also in the immediate vicinity
of the well-preserved Macaraeg-Macapagal ancestral house which has been
donated to the city government by the late former President Diosdado
Macapagal to bethe tourist destination that it is today. Historical Historic Magellanes Marker. Located
at Poblacion, Magallanes about 35.9 kms from city proper. Erected in
1872 under Governor Maria Caravello, this historic marker commemorates
the celebration of the first Catholic Mass in Mindanao held on April 8,
1521.
Man-made Nalco and Wallboard Plants. Located at Poblacion, Nasipit,
about25.4 kms. away from the city proper. A vast 29.6 hectare
industrial complex, producing lumber, plywood, wallboard, placarol
doors, woodtiles, and prefab trusses to supply domestic as well as
foreign markers.This is now closed and derelict most if not all the
structures have now collapsed about the only structure that is still standing is the old guest rooms (below) that are now in private hands.
Old Nalco Guest Rooms Nipa Wine Distillery.
An ancient type of distillery believed to have been used by the early Butuanons who produced palm wine called "laksoy".

Located in Magallanes, about 35.9 away from the city proper. A modern
wood processing complex which specializes in veneer and plywood both
for domestic consumption and for export.
Eurasia (Phimco).
Located in Magallanes, about 35.9 kms away from the city proper. The
only match factory in Mindanao, it has a daily output of 1.08 million
matchboxes a day.
